The true sign of intelligence is not in knowledge, but in creativity, innovation and imagination. The 12th DOX Inter-School Co-curricular competitions 2017 were held on 31st August 2017 at St. Xaviers School, Doranda, Ranchi. 879 students from 29 schools from in and around the capital city participated in the competitions. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest Mr. Mukmeet Bhatia, IAS, Principal Secretary of Mahila Bal Kalyan and Samaj Sudhar. There were 37 events in all which were carried out simultaneously in different venues in the host school. Students of Sarala Birla Public school were also a part of the competitions and once again made their alma mater proud by winning awards. Diksha Raj of Std 9 was the winner for English debate in group A. Priyam Prakash of Std. 7 got the first runners up award for poetry writing in English in group B. Nitesh Patar from Std 9 won the first runners up position for Ad Making in group A. Kumari Sonali Priya of Std 8 bagged the second runners up prize for Hindi Spelling in group B. Anshuman Shandilya of Std. 7 was declared the second runners up in English Debate in group B. Zoya Akhter of Std. 9 bagged the second runners up position for English writing in group A. Rishi Bose of Std. 9 was rewarded the second runners up award for Best out of Waste in group D. The winners were presented with a trophy and a certificate. All the 30 students representing the school were presented with a certificate of participation.
