World Astronomy Day

World Astronomy Day (observed on 17.06.2016)

Astronomy is a vital part of mankind’s history and has been used to tell the time, seasons and to navigate the oceans.

Students of Secondary level explored information about the astronomical heritage monuments in India and displayed it on the boards. Power point presentation on ‘New discoveries in the area of space’ was a part of class discussion of Senior Secondary students. Upper primary level students displayed a collage of astronauts and their life and achievement, followed by a discussion on planets and universe.

Primary level children beautifully made the model of Solar System identifying their own planet Earth.
