The widespread corruption has an adverse effect on the development of a nation. In order to create an awareness about the corruption at different levels students of SBPS observed vigilance awareness week from 31st October to 5th November, 2016. Students showed great enthusiasm in different activities related to the theme. Students of Class XI – XII participated in essay writing on the topic ‘e – governance’ as an effective tool to curb corruption. Students were very keen in presenting their ideas through words. They learnt how preventive vigilance can help in reducing corruption and enhance accountability at various levels. Students of Class IX and X performed street plays to create an awareness among the public related to corruption. Students from VI to VIII showed their concern about the theme by presenting their feelings in form of posters and slogans on the topic ‘public participation in eradicating corruption’. They took citizen integrity pledge to eliminate corruption from society.
