Vigilance awareness week

“If a country is to be corruption free and become a nation of beautiful mind…… there are three key societal members who can make a difference. They are the father, the mother and the teacher.” A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

Vigilance awareness week was observed by the students and teachers in the premises of Sarala Birla Public School. Being the future of the nation, it is the need of the hour that the students understand the role and function of vigilance in curbing corruption in our country. With this aim, several activities were organized for the students to make them aware of the ill-effects of corruption. A special assembly was organized by the students highlighting the issues of corruption, nepotism etc wherein they took the Integrity Pledge. They also took an oath to be honest in all walks of life and denounce all forms of mal practices and duplicity. Students also participated with vigour and zeal in ‘Run for Unity’ organized in the school campus. Several competitions were held for the students including cartoon making, elocution, debate, essay writing and face painting, all raising the question as to how India can be cured of the disease of corruption, delinquency and dishonesty.
