‘Vatsalyam’ – The Grand Parents’ Day
Grandparents’ Day was celebrated with great zeal on 30th Aug. by the students of I & II & on 31st Aug 2016 by the students of KG I & KG II.
On 30thAug. Prof. Nand Kumar Yadav Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jharkhand was the chief guest who graced the occasion with his presence.What enthralled the audience was a magnificient dance of ‘Jharkhand Ker Kora’ which filled them with pride for their state. An English skit ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ blasted the auditorium with sounds of animals and was worth appreciating. Concerns over water depletion was depicted by the pupils through their show ‘Jal Hai To Kal Hai’. Durga Stuti instilled virtuous values among the pupils while other programmes ‘Salaam India’, ‘Fusion Fever’ and ‘Prop Up Boogie’ were scintillating dance performances. The kids presented the dance drama ‘Nurturing Bonds’ exhibiting relationship with their grandparents.
Vatsalyam continued with enthusiasm on 31st Aug too. Prof. (Dr.) Ramesh Kumar Pandey, Vice Chancellor, Ranchi University graced the function as the Chief Guest and Dr.Amar Kumar Choudhary, Registrar, Ranchi University as the Guest of Honour and lit the lamp on this auspicious occasion.The special highlights were ‘Surya Namaskar’ and ‘Health is Wealth’ displaying the need and importance of physical fitness. An English dance drama ‘The Sleeping Beauty’ was enacted by the tiny tots followed by ‘Earth Fest’ which touched more serious issues of society like saving the earth and water & how these little children can contribute to it. Programmes like ‘Voice of my Heart’ and ‘Rhythm of Goa’ enthralled the audience. ‘The Amazing Twins’ was a beautiful dance drama on ‘Luv Kush’.The Programme ‘Grand Angels’ showcased how grandparents endeared their grandchildren.
