Shraddha – 2018 celebrated @ SBPS on Foundation Day

The dawn of 20th Jan 2018, embarked the Annual Day Celebration, ‘Shraddha-2018’ in the premises of Sarala Birla Public School on its 9th ‘Foundation Day’. It was an occasion of feast and festivity when student presented their wonderful performances.
The occasion was graced by Shree Ashok Bhagat a recipient of prestigious Padmashree award, an Indian Social Worker and the secretary of Vikas Bharti by lighting of lamp. The programme was adorned with a variety of performances including the fun filled, vibrant dance in ‘Colours of India’ while a sensitive subject of untouchability was depicted through a dance drama ‘Chandalika’. A short dance drama on ‘Cinderella’ was also performed by the students giving a message of being kind and courageous. ‘Stages of Ganga’ was highly appreciated which held the audience in awe. The function also included live music performance by the students which was admired by all.
On the juncture chief guest Shree Ashok Bhagat asserted that parents as well as school should impart traditional values to students along with the new modern education as there is no alternative to motherly love and emotions. He also said that SBPS is doing commendable work as it is not only teaching through English medium, which is the need of the hour, but also keeping children connected to the roots.
