SBPS celebrates the kindergarten Graduation Day Ceremony- ‘Chrysalis-2018’

“Graduation is an exhilarating moment- it is both an ending and a beginning.”
On Saturday, 17th March, 2018, the school atrium wore a festive look, illuminated with shining faces of the pupils of SBPS as the school celebrated ‘Chrysalis’ – the Graduation Day Ceremony of the KG students with gusto and gaiety.
The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp to evoke the blessings of the deities by the Honourable Chief Guest Dr. Amar Kumar Choudhary, Registrar, Ranchi University. On this occasion, Dr. Kumud Kala Mehta of Hindi Dept., Ranchi University, School Head Personnel & Admin. Shri Pradip Varma, Principal Mrs. Paramjit Kaur and other dignitaries were also present. The pupils exhibited electrifying housewise programmes based on various themes. The pupils of Yajurveda House presented a dance on the theme of ‘Light to Change’ dealing with social issues and importance of education. The pupils of Atharvaveda House presented a dance-drama on the theme of ‘Women Empowerment’. The pupils of Rigveda presented the varied forms of Folk Dance of India whereas the pupils of Samveda presented the varied world dance forms which included Salsa, Malaysian Fan Dance, Kathak & Hip Hop. The cultural extravaganza was interspersed with the most important event of the day- The Graduation Ceremony of KG students. All the Kindergartners were felicitated with report cards and certificates in traditional Kurta Pyjama and ‘Pagdi’. The children were donned in Indian attire with an aim to connect them to the cultural roots of the country. Students from each section were awarded with the ‘Best Student in Academics’, ‘Best Student in Co-curricular Activities’ and ‘Perfect Attendance’ titles. The ‘Star Child Award’ was also presented on the basis of the overall performance in academics, co-curricular activities, discipline, uniform, regularity and parental care. The smiling faces of the pupils were welcomed by rapturous applause from the audience as they received scrolls of merit on the stage. On this occasion, an Art & Craft exhibition- ‘Kaleidoscope – 2018’ was also inaugurated wherein the students demonstrated their artistic knack. The programme ended with a vote of thanks.
The chief guest applauded the pupils and the school for igniting the passion of learning among children and tailoring it through by innovative activity based methods. He also added that Sarala Birla Public School stands out for creating the cultural panaroma.
