SBPS Celebrates the Annual Grandparents’ Day: Vatsalyam-2018

 

On the occasion of Grandparents’ Day ‘Vatsalyam-2018’ at SBPS, the grandparents with diverse experience came together to relive their childhood on 1st September 2018 with the theme ‘Children’s World’.

The students of KG I and KG II expressed their gratitude and thanked the Grandparents for their love and support through a variety of programmes. The programme commenced with Maitri Bandhan of the guests followed by lighting the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, Dr. Arbind Prasad Singh, Chairman, Jharkhand Academic Council, School Head Personnel & Admin. Mr. Pradip Varma and Principal Mrs. Paramjit Kaur.

The cultural programme commenced with a prayer dance- ‘Saraswati Vandana- Tere Veena Ki’ by the students of KG II-B and KG II-E which connected everyone to Goddess Saraswati. Next, the students of Grade KG I-C presented a lovely dance performance. After this, the students of KG I-B spread the vibes of zest by their energy packed performance on the song-‘Better When I am Dancing’. The students of KG I-A presented a dance ‘Anand Dhara’ with the message to lead oneself from darkness to light. Students of KG II-D and KG II-F captured the attention of the audience by a dance drama named ‘Beneath the wings’ with the message strong determination paves the way to success. The students of KG II-A and KG II-C presented a dance performance named ‘Rhapsody’ to bestow their feelings towards their loved ones.

The grandparents were overwhelmed by the fascinating performances of their grandchildren and the grandfather of Subhoshree Goswami of KG II F added value to the programme by reciting a shloka on God Vishnu. He was presented a token of gratitude by the Principal. The programme culminated with the National Song. The programme was anchored by Rohini Raj, Ridhima Mohan Sinha, Darshil Modi of Grade V and Dhruv Bhartiya of Grade IV.

The Chief guest, Dr. Arbind Prasad Singh applauded the hard work of the teachers and said that it is only a teacher who can transform a student like Narendra into Swami Vivekananda. He congratulated the School Management to organize such programmes in this era which enables us to get connected to our ethos and tradition.
