The 70th Republic Day was celebrated with zeal and grandeur at Sarala Birla Public School on 26th January, 2019. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity and brotherhood. The programme commenced with the hoisting of the Indian National Flag followed by the National Anthem. This was followed by the march past. The whole campus came alive with the spirit of patriotism through various cultural programmes. The pupils presented an orchestra ‘Sur-Sangam’ which was followed by a patriotic song ‘Hari Bhari Ye Dharti Ho, Neela Asmaan Rahe’. Then some students presented a speech on ‘Essence of India’ which arose a sense of pride in being the citizen of the country with a rich cultural past. The skit- ‘Jharkhand Ki Shaan’ was presented followed by the dance performance ‘Our Pride, Our Protector’. Through the speech and the skit, the students emulated the teachings of Gandhiji. The spectacular rendition of the programmes made all bow in allegiance to the brave freedom fighters of Jharkhand who laid their lives for the motherland.
