Sarala Birla Public School celebrated a good luck party for the incredible students of class X. In this program the host Class IX had invited all teachers & staff of the school along with the Admin Head Mr. P. K. Varma and the school Principal Mrs. Poonam Singh as special invitees to inaugurate the occasion and boost up the moral of the board students.
The special guests were given a warm welcome in the B.K.Birla auditorium with bouquet of flowers and drizzling rose petals. Suchi, Vedika and Divyansh welcomed them with a welcome speech. The Admin Head Mr. P. K. Varma and the school Principal Mrs. Poonam Singh cut the cake and inaugurated the program. The School class IX choir group ‘Rhythm Divine’ comprising Aayush, Navneet, Gaurav & Rishi came with the songs ‘papa kahte hain bada naam karega’ and ‘zindgi ek safar hai suhana’.
This was followed by a skit “shortcut proves to be long cut” emphasizing failure due to students laxity in studies. The school Principal Mrs. Poonam Singh in her address to the students of class X said that this type of organisation will boost up the moral of all students and convince every student that she/he is very special. She said that success doesn’t come by chance; a consistent, committed and rigorous practice is required to achieve success in any sphere of life. Giving study tips to the students she professed how wisely S.A. II portion can be revised in merely two weeks. She said that success comes from time management; it is nothing but keeping close to your aim, proceed coherently and managing time wisely. She hoped that students will cherish the lessons inculcated in their character throughout their lives. She wished them to achieve success in board examination and promised them a grand farewell party in 2017 when they will be going for Std. XII examination.
The school Administrative Head Mr. Pradip Kumar Varma wished ‘all the best’ to the board appearing candidates. Referring to the moral of the skit, he said that dishonour in family, school or society brings all the failures and misfortunes in life. It is observed that a respectable man attains all success, honour and prosperity in his life. Everybody is ready to extend a helping hand to him but nobody helps a defamed person. So students should endeavour to achieve honour and fame through their sincere studies and right aptitude. This honour comes from truth and sincerity for one’s work and agenda. Citing a parable from the Ramayana, he said that lord Ram told Lakshman that he didn’t fear death but dishonor and defamation which are more fatal and painful than death. He advised the students to maintain a high moral and keep away from ornamentation, pomp and show which ultimately lead people to downfall.
After this there was a group song performance by the boys as a tribute to their teachers and dance performance by Priyanka, Chanchal and group. There was another dance performance (western) by Aryan and group. Adarsh and Shashwat performed stand-up comedy which tickled the students.
The students who had shown extra ordinary talent in the fields of arts, literature, science, maths and sports throughout the session were awarded. Thereafter all the appearing students were given school mementos by the teachers.
The stage was anchored and coordinated by class IX student Divyansh. Boys played Chit games and girls danced and vice-versa. After disposal of vote of thanks by a class IX student, everybody enjoyed delicious lunch arranged by the school.
