Interactive session with Dr. Ashwini Kumar @ SBPS

SBPS organized an interactive session for the students of Std. IX and XI. The programme was graced by Dr. Ashwini Kumar, scientist at ICMR- National Institute of Malaria Research, Panaji. The ‘Outstanding Young Person of the World’ awardee, while interacting with the students said that a person can prosper only when he is stress free. He advised students to meditate and indulge in physical activities in order to keep the mind and body agile. He emphasized that every subject is equally important for the students and talked about the various career options that are lesser known to the students.
He talked about the importance of hygiene and cleanliness in the daily life. He also informed the students about the threats we are exposed to in the presence of mosquitoes. Dr. Kumar discussed the measures for prevention and cure of the vector borne diseases.
Students actively participated in the session and asked questions that would help in increasing their concentration power. Students also enquired as to how they can keep themselves safe in the degrading environmental conditions.
