Extempore and Face-Painting Competition @ SBPS

To develop the integral habit of public speaking and to imbibe a true spirit of learning and competition among students, an Inter-house Extempore Competition was organized on 9th November 2017 at Sarala Birla Public School, Ranchi for students of Std. III-V. Every participant was given a minute to speak on certain topics related to social issues. The participants were further judged on the basis of their fluency, content, confidence and their presentation.
Samarth Raj of Samveda bagged the 1st position followed by Anushka Sancheti of Yajurveda at 2nd position and Nischay Ratan of Atharvaveda at 3rd position. From Std. IV Rishika Chhawchharia of Atharvaveda secured the 1st position followed by Nabhya Lal of Samveda at 2nd position and Bhavya Prakash of Rigveda at 3rd position. From Std. V Vats Sharma of Atharvaveda stood 1st followed by Aryan of Rigveda at 2nd position and Yash Bhadoria of Yajurveda at 3rd position.
In addition, on 10th November 2017 an Inter-house Visual Art (face-painting) competition was organized in which the students of Std. VI to XII participated. The topic of the competition was “Freedom from fear”. The students exhibited their artistic flair by painting the faces. They projected their thoughts on the topic with vibrant colours. In junior group (Std. VI-VIII) the 1st position is bagged by Shivam Raj and Vikash Surin of Yajurveda & Samveda house respectively. The 2nd position is bagged by Ananta Tantia of Rigveda house and 3rd by Om Chaitanya of Atharvaveda house. In Senior group (Std. IX -XII), the 1st position is bagged by Nitesh Munda of Atharvaveda house, the 2nd by Bhawna Jhunjhunwala of Rigveda house, 3rd by Aman Prakash of Yajurveda house and the consolation goes to Vedant Sharma of Samveda house.
