Adventure Camp 2015

Fun & Training at Sarala Birla Public School
The 8 days long adventure camp is coming to an end for the students of SBPS. The adventure camp started at and around Ranchi in mountainous area including Horhap Jungle and other places. This camp was conducted under the capable leadership and careful handling of Altitude Expeditions India Pvt. Ltd, a Delhi based trekking firm adept in training people in rope climbing, rock climbing, mountaineering, flying fox and many other trekking and daring activities. Mr. Anit Shah, an Everester (1992) is the director of this team and Mrs. Tushi (also an Everester 2012) is the lady instructor. About 19 instructors have come all the way from Delhi to train the students of SBPS. This was their second visit.
The students from KG I to XII participated in the camp and tried to prove their worth in different adventurous activity. Apart from rope climbing, the students tried their hand in double zoomaring, parallel rope, rope ladder, cat walk, monkey crawl, bouldering and knot practice. Despite being optional, more than 2,000 students participated in it and enjoyed different dimensions & levels of altitude and feat. Some students tried tent pitching, tying knots & pirates crossing, bamboo bridge, Burma bridge, descending tent pitching, net crossing, ladder climbing etc.
It was a joyful & safe adventure together which left the participants wanting for more. Children had a firsthand experience of trying such adventurous activities and had their queries answered by the experts.
